View towards Usk May 2013. Taken from the back of my horse on the ridge near Pentwyn Farm Llanllowell, while out riding around the 'Flood Route' also known locally as 'Noah's Ark Lane'. The narrow, single track lane popular with walkers and cyclists at all times of the year, is used as an alternative route by local traffic, when either the River Usk or the Olway Brook which runs into the Usk, floods the road in the valley below. The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains can be seen in the far distance.
